Fashion designers must think we are completely stupid.  But since they are still selling clothes, they must be right.

Do you know how much it costs to buy a stupid shirt with the words "Tommy Hilfiger" on them?  More then I am going to spend.  Who gives a damn who the designer is.  Its really just a name, along with a dumb logo.  And every now and then a new fad comes out, and you have to spend your money to still be fashionable.   So why do people buy these clothes at all?  They want to be popular.  Why we view people who spend allot of money on clothes as popular is a mystery beyond me.   And Tommy Hilfiger boxer shorts!  When you get someone to see those, they won't be thinking about your clothes.

I think that people should dress how they want to, which usually means what they feel comfortable in.  My friend Light08 is the epitome of "do what you feel".   During summer I have seen him wearing the ugliest plaid shorts with a striped T-shirt.  And during his junior year he realized that he liked the feel of a full suit, so he began wearing them to school.  Why can't we all do this?  Well, for those of us in larger less-excepting schools, it is not as easy.  People would make fun of us, and no one likes that.  Actually, I couldn't anyway, my school has a dress code.  Fine by me, I wouldn't spend money on designer clothes anyway.  Maybe I am a cheap bastard, but I would rather spend my money on other things.

Some brands we wear not because it is in-style but because we know that it is a quality producer of clothes.  I like my Bugle boy jeans.  I wear Khaki pants now, even I gave in to the khaki craze (which came after the ridiculous wide-leg and wear-your-pants-real-low crazes).  And style is really a personal thing.   Designers may make really pretty clothes, but when they put their name on ordinary K-mart clothing and jack the price up, then they are taking advantage of us.  You buy the clothing to show off the name.  Are you telling people that you are a fashionable person, or a moron who wastes money?  And have you ever seen those fashion shows on TV that take place usually in France?  Those woman look like they are dressed up peacocks!  I wouldn't be caught dead in one of those things!  Well, most of them are dresses, but you get my point.
